Workers' Compensation

Kansas City: Workers' Compensation Attorney

If you have been injured on the job and then denied workers' compensation by your employer — it can add insult to injury.

My best advice as a personal injury lawyer is this: If you have suffered serious workplace injuries, treat your workers' compensation claim like any other personal injury case. In other words, get early advice from a knowledgeable workers' compensation lawyer.

NO RECOVERY — NO FEE

I can help with your original workers' compensation claim, and guide you through the process so that your claim is complete — helping you get a more fair workers' compensation settlement from your employer's workers' comp insurance company.

When Should You Consult a Workers' Compensation Attorney

There are several stages to the workers' compensation process. Immediately after your injury, your employer will require you to see a doctor that they choose. This doctor will give the workers' compensation insurance company an evaluation, and the workers' comp insurance company will award you financial compensation based on that doctor's opinions.

If the medical evaluation minimizes your injuries in any way — or if the doctor gives you an earlier return-to-work date than your own personal doctor — seek advice from a workers' compensation lawyer.

I will file a claim, or appeal, on your behalf with the Workers' Compensation Board, and we will prepare for the hearing by gathering medical records and any necessary expert medical opinions. I will negotiate with the workers' comp insurance company's attorneys for a fair and reasonable settlement, but if necessary, we will go forward with the hearing to get you the best possible settlement.
