  • Counterfeiting (K.S.A. § 21-5825 ): Manufacturing, using, displaying, advertising, distributing or possessing with intent to distribute any item or services that bear or are identified by a counterfeit mark is a class A misdemeanor if the retail value is less than $1,000; a severity level 9, nonperson felony if the value is at least $1,000 but less than $25,000; a severity level 7, nonperson felony if the value is $25,000 or more

Kansas' Penalties for Fraud Crimes

Felony crimes are severely punished under the Kansas Statutes. For a severity level 9, nonperson felony, the penalty is eight months in prison and a fine of up to $100,000.
