Silly events sometimes escalate
We all have heard about violence and shootings around the country and around the world, but most people don't expect to have to watch their back for fear of being shot by their best friend. By that, of course, I am referring to one's trusty dog.
As it would turn out, a man in Utah should have been watching his back, particularly his backside.
While on a duck hunting trip, the man had to get out of the boat to check on something with some decoys, and the next thing he knew, he had 27 pellets of birdshot in his rear end. His trusty sidekick dog had stepped on the gun and caused it to go off, from the short distance of only 10 feet away. His heavy waterproof waders had probably helped protect him to an extent, but I'm sure that sitting down wasn't pleasant for a while, to say the least.
I seriously doubt anyone is liable for anything in this case, but sometimes silly events like these can quickly escalate. If you've dealt with a silly event that has escalated, call our law firm to speak with an experienced attorney.
