Blackwater Twp., MO (November 14, 2023) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that Landon Vaughn of Leavenworth, Kansas, lost his life as a result of a truck crash that took place in Saline County. Official reports indicate that at around 8:30 p.m. on November 11, a 2003 Hyundai Sonata was struck by a 2022 Freightliner tractor-trailer on Interstate 70 near mile marker 83.8. The Hyundai was then struck by a 2023 Freightliner tractor-trailer. The driver of the Hyundai, identified as Vaughn, was ejected from his vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers are investigating.
