Carrollton, MO – Mildred Scott Loses Life in Three-Vehicle Truck Accident on Highway 65 near County Rd 350

Carrollton, MO (August 12, 2023) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that 90-year-old Mildred Scott of Marshall, Missouri, has died as a result of injuries that she suffered in a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Carroll County.

The accident was reported at around 11:44 a.m. on August 10.

According to reports, a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling north on Highway 65. The vehicle attempted to pass a 2017 Peterbilt 375 when it collided head-on with a 2007 Kenworth W900 just south of County Road 350.

Two people were injured in the accident. They were identified as Scott and her passenger, 83-year-old Willie Armstrong of Marshall, Missouri. Scott was airlifted and flown by Life Flight to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Armstrong was transported to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City by Life-Flight.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
