Independence, MO (December 3, 2023) – A crash took place in Jackson County on Saturday morning that resulted in injuries. Calls for help were received at around 1:50 a.m. on December 2, prompting the response of the Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers.
According to reports provided by Trooper A D Lingren, a 2022 Ford F150 pickup truck, a 2011 Nissan Altima, and a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado were all traveling eastbound on Missouri Route 210. As the vehicles approached the area just west of Missouri State Route 291, the Ford and the Nissan slowed down for a traffic device. The Chevrolet crashed into the rear of the Nissan, causing it to strike the Ford.
A passenger in the Nissan, 55-year-old Stewart Willis of Carrollton, Missouri, was injured. He was transported by ambulance to Centerpoint Medical Center for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
