Williams Twp., MO (December 28, 2023) – A truck accident reported in Benton County sent one person to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries. Calls for assistance came in at around 6:10 p.m. on December 26.
According to local law enforcement, a 2010 Chrysler was traveling on US Highway 65 when it collided head-on with a 2016 Freightliner near Missouri 52. Both of the vehicles were severely damaged due to the accident. They both had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the Chrysler, identified as 87-year-old Lawrence Harms of Lincoln, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries as a result of the crash. Harms was transported by air ambulance to Bothwell Hospital, where he underwent emergency treatment. At this time, the crash is being investigated.
