Cambridge Township, MO – Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Wreck on Highway 240 near Primrose Ave

Cambridge Township, MO (July 19, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident took place in Saline County that left multiple people injured. At around 8:00 a.m. on July 18, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a car crash that occurred on Highway 240.

According to reports from MSHP, a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling on Highway 240 during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed over the center lines and struck a 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor just east of Primrose Avenue. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash. Korte Towing responded to the scene to remove the vehicles. MSHP and firefighters worked to remove the debris from the scene and to direct traffic through the area.

Three people involved in the crash were injured. A 10-year-old male and 36-year-old Amanda Pycke, both of Slater, Missouri, were transported to University Hospital for emergency care. The third victim, 47-year-old Eugene Fizer, also from Slater, Missouri, was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
