Aurora, MO (June 20, 2023) – A truck accident took place in Berry County on Monday morning that left two people with injuries. The crash took place at a proximally 10:15 a.m. on June 19.
Reports provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that a 1996 Peterbilt and a 2018 Dodge Journey collided on Highway 39, just one-quarter mile north of Jenkins. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the accident. The two vehicles were towed from the scene.
Firefighters assisted the Highway Patrol at the site of the accident as they worked to secure the area and clear debris from the roadway.
The drivers of both vehicles suffered injuries in the accident. Mercy Aircare transported 44-year-old Tana Aguado to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, for emergency medical treatment of serious injuries. The second victim, 44-year-old Billy Fink, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Missouri.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
