Kansas City, MO (June 16, 2023) – A teenager was left critically injured as a result of a crash that took place in Kansas City.
The accident was reported at around 9:30 p.m. on June 14.
According to reports provided by the Kansas City Police Department, a teenager was walking in a construction zone on Interstate 29 during the evening hours.
For unknown reasons, they were struck by a semi-truck tractor-trailer that was passing through the area.
Emergency crews responded to the scene of the crash and closed down the roadway in the area near the bridge that crosses over Northwest 72nd Street.
The teen was critically hurt as a result of the crash and rushed to an area hospital for emergency care.
At this time, the incident is still being investigated.
