Marshall, MO (June 26, 2023) – On June 24, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in Saline County and ended in injuries.
At around 6:10 p.m. on June 24, calls for help were received regarding a crash on US Highway 65.
Reports from authorities indicate that a head-on collision between a 2018 Kia Soul and a 2019 Harley CVO took place on the northbound side of US Highway 65. Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene and closed off the roadway near Highway UU.
The driver of the Harley was ejected from their vehicle, resulting in injuries.
Two people suffered injuries due to this accident. 50-year-old Kristina Wernekewas transported by EMS to Fitzgibbons Hospital for emergency care. The second victim, 70-year-old GredrickHastings, was transported by saline County EMS to University Hospital, where he underwent treatment for serious injuries.
