Marshall, MO (October 31, 2023) – A crash reported in Saline County sent one man to a local hospital with injuries. The accident occurred at around 12:24 a.m. on October 28.
According to crash reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper DR Peters, the driver of an unknown vehicle crossed over the center line while traveling on the westbound side of Interstate 70. As a result, the vehicle struck a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse near mile marker 77. The driver of the second vehicle fled the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 43-year-old Santo Jimenez Marte of Kansas City, Kansas, sustained moderate injuries in the crash. He was transported by Saline County EMS to Centerpoint Hospital for emergency care.
