Liberty, MO (April 7, 2024) – A 15-year-old was transported to an area hospital with injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Clay County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the accident at around 3:50 a.m. on April 6.
According to law enforcement reports, a collision involving a 2019 Dodge Challenger and a 2023 Ford Edge took place on the westbound side of Missouri State Route 291. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the involved vehicles just west of Main Street, blocking multiple lanes of the road. Authorities determined that one of the vehicles struck a light pole during the accident. A 15-year-old male involved in the accident was injured. The victim was transported to Liberty Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
