Columbia Twp., MO (April 6, 2024) - On April 4, the Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers were called to the scene of an automobile accident that sent one woman to a local hospital with injuries. The accident occurred at around 1:50 a.m.
Preliminary reports indicate that a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia was traveling westbound on Interstate 70 when it became involved in a collision just east of Route Z. As a result of the accident, the Freightliner overturned and came to rest on its left side. A 2017 Subaru Outback then became involved in a collision with the vehicle. One person involved in the accident was injured. The University ambulance responded to the scene to render aid to 63-year-old Mary Back of Fulton, Missouri. Back was transported to University Hospital for the treatment of moderate injuries. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
