Lone Jack, MO – Two Hurt in Four-Vehicle Truck Crash on US-50 at Route F

Lone Jack, MO (February 21, 2024) – A significant motor vehicle accident in Jackson County resulted in injuries to two individuals. The Missouri State Highway Patrol and firefighters responded to the incident, which occurred around 6:45 p.m. on February 19.

According to law enforcement reports, a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox collided with the rear of a 2005 Dodge Neon while traveling on US Highway 50 near Route F. In an attempt to avoid the two vehicles, a 2010 Peterbilt tractor-trailer veered off the side of the roadway. Subsequently, a 2019 Jeep Cherokee struck the semi-truck. All four vehicles sustained damage and were rendered undrivable, necessitating towing from the scene.

Two individuals were injured in the accident. A 17-year-old male from Richmond, Missouri, was transported to Centerview Hospital by southern Jackson County EMS. The second victim, 66-year-old Betina Shreve of Warrensburg, Missouri, received medical care at Centerpoint Hospital after being transported by Lone Jack EMS. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
