Mayview, MO (February 15, 2024) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that 45-year-old Kurt Probst of Fillmore, Illinois, lost his life as a result of a truck accident that occurred in Lafayette County on Tuesday evening, February 13.
Preliminary reports indicate that at approximately 10:00 p.m., a 2017 Freightliner and a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck collided on Interstate 70 near mile marker 45. The Chevrolet was totaled in the accident and had to be removed from the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as Probst, suffered fatal injuries in the accident. He was pronounced deceased on-site by Lafayette County Deputy Edge. At this time, investigations into the crash are ongoing.
