Cole Camp, MO – Three Hurt in Auto Wreck on Five Bridge Ave

Cole Camp, MO (March 19, 2024) – Several people were to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Benton County. The incident took place at around 9:30 p.m. on March 16.

According to law enforcement reports, the driver of a 2003 Dodge Ram was driving on Five Bridge Avenue when they failed to negotiate a curve. As a result, the vehicle crossed over the center of the roadway and collided with a 2013 Nissan Juke. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the accident and had to be towed from the scene. Three people were hurt.

The victims were identified as a 12-year-old juvenile, 21-year-old Nathanel Hampton, and 57-year-old Janice Hoehns, all of Cole Camp, Missouri. The juvenile was airlifted and flown by air ambulance to University Hospital for emergency care. Hoehns was also airlifted by air ambulance and flown to the same hospital. Hampton was transported by Pettis County EMS to Bothwell Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
