Hazel Hill Township, MO (August 5, 2023) – On August 4, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a major accident in Johnson County that sent one person to a local hospital with injuries.
At around 9:40 a.m., the state troopers were notified that a crash involving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado in a 2013 Ford F150 pickup truck occurred on Missouri State Route 13. Crash investigations determined that the Chevrolet was stopped in traffic on the highway when the Ford crashed into the rear end of the vehicle near County Road Northwest 575.
The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 38-year-old Jason Caldwell of Warrensburg, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries. He was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for emergency care.
