Kansas City, MO (August 9, 2023) – A motorcyclist was sent to a hospital in critical condition following a crash that occurred on Monday evening, August 7.
At around 9:10 p.m., the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department responded to the scene of an automobile accident on West 39th Street.
Reports from authorities show that a Honda CVR 300 motorcycle was heading east on West 39th Street. For unknown reasons, a white Ford Edge turned left in front of the motorcycle near Southwest Trafficway. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
The motorcyclist was ejected from their vehicle and landed on the roadway, where they were subsequently struck by the Ford a second time. The motorcyclist became pinned under the SUV and dragged for several feet down the road.
The motorcyclist was critically injured in the crash. EMS rushed the victim to an area hospital for emergency treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
