Lexington, MO – Three Injured in Truck Wreck on Highway 13 near BUS-13

Lexington, MO (August 21, 2023) – Three people were transported to area hospitals as a result of a truck accident that occurred on Monday morning in Lafayette County.

The accident was reported at around 8:30 a.m. on August 21.

According to reports provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2010 Ford Taurus was involved in a collision with a 2019 Kenworth on the southbound side of Highway 13. The incident blocked the roadway just north of the Business 13 junction.

The Ford was totaled as a result of the accident. The Kenworth came to rest on the shoulder of the roadway with extensive damage. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by Jackson County tow.

Three people were injured as a result of the crash. The victims were identified as 26-year-old Ashley Portia, 59-year-old Thomas Miller, and 73-year-old Sadie Miller. The three victims were transported to Centerpoint Medical Center for emergency care.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
