Blue Springs, MO (June 18, 2023) – On June 16, emergency crews were called to the scene of an automobile accident in Jackson County that resulted in injuries.
At around 6:20 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a crash occurred on Interstate 70.
Reports from authorities indicate that a 2015 Lexus GX 350 made a lane change while traveling on the eastbound side of the interstate. As a result, the vehicle collided with a 2015 Lexus GX 460. The impact of the crash sent the second Lexus off the roadway. The first Lexus rotated into a guardrail and reentered the road, where it collided with a 2017 Ford Focus.
The accident prompted officials to shut down a portion of the roadway near Adams Dairy Parkway.
Three people were hurt as a result of the crash. Medics responded to the scene to provide care for 35-year-old Jeremiah Grear, 41-year-old Christopher Brown, and 44-year-old Julie Grear. All three victims were transported to Centerpoint Medical Center for emergency treatment.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
