Clinton, MO – Two Hurt in Three-Vehicle Crash on MO-7 at Route C

Clinton, MO (November 9, 2023) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in Henry County and ended in injuries.

At around 5:50 p.m. on November 7, MS HP troopers were called to the scene of an accident on Missouri State Route 7.

According to reports, a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2016 Honda Civic were stopped as a result of the crash on the highway just south of Route C. For unknown reasons, a 2010 Chevrolet H HR failed to slow down and crashed into the rear of the Chevrolet Silverado. The impact of the collision forced the Chevrolet ahead of where it collided with the Honda.

Two people were injured as a result of the crash. The two victims, 66-year-old Edward Hawkins and 74-year-old Chester Douthit, were transported by Golden Valley EMS to Golden Valley Hospital for emergency care.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.

We hope Edward Hawkins and Chester Douthit recover quickly following this crash.
