Austin Township, MO (September 5, 2023) – On September 2, a motor vehicle accident took place in Cass County that sent one woman to an area hospital with injuries.
At around 3:42 p.m., a black 2015 Jeep Patriot was heading north on Interstate 49 when it was rear-ended by a second vehicle near mile marker 150.2. The impact of the crash caused the Jeep to overturn and go off the right side of the roadway.
The driver of the Jeep, identified as 40-year-old Jackie Kirk of Olathe, Kansas, suffered moderate injuries. She was transported by Central Cass Fire EMS to Cass County regional Hospital, where she underwent emergency treatment.
The incident is currently being investigated.
