Smith Township, MO (September 4, 2023) – Two people were transported to a local hospital with injuries following an automobile accident that took place in Pettis County.
The accident was reported at around 6:06 p.m. on September 1.
According to official reports, the driver of a 2005 Buick LeSabre entered the path of the 2024 Honda HRV while traveling in the area of US Highway 50 and Rissler Road. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
Both vehicles came to rest in the westbound lanes of US Highway 50. The two vehicles were totaled in the accident and had to be removed from the scene by Don’s Towing company.
Two people were injured in the crash. 54-year-old Paula Smith of Lebanon, Missouri, was transported to Bothwell Regional for emergency treatment. The second victim, 26-year-old Cara Caby of Raytown, Missouri, was transported by Missouri University Air to the University of Columbia – Missouri, for emergency treatment of serious injuries.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
