Liberty, MO (September 28, 2023) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash that occurred in Clay County and ended in injuries.
The crash was reported to dispatchers just before 5:30 p.m. on September 25.
Reports from MSHP Cpt. J.D. Hall show that a 2010 Hyundai Elantra was stopped at a red light near the Interstate 35 ramp to Highway 152. For reasons unknown, a 1999 Ford F-250 crashed into the rear of the vehicle.
The Hyundai sustained moderate damage in the crash. The vehicle’s driver, 53-year-old Tracy Eiken, suffered injuries in the crash. Eiken, who is from Winston, Missouri, was transported to KU Medical Center for emergency care.
The crash is currently being investigated.
