Nelson, MO (September 16, 2023) – On Wednesday, emergency officials out of Saline County responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that sent one person to a local hospital with injuries.
The accident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. on September 13.
According to police reports, a 2009 Ford F250 pickup truck and a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan collided on the westbound side of Interstate 70. The incident caused disruptions in the area of mile marker 86.8.
Emergency medical services responded to care for injured victims. One of the people involved in the crash, identified as 68-year-old Terri Newham of Columbia, Missouri, was transported by Saline County EMS University Hospital, where she underwent emergency care.
Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol are investigating.
