Warrensburg Township, MO – Two Hurt in Crash on US-50 near MO-13 Bypass

Warrensburg Township, MO (September 22, 2023) – Two people were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for emergency treatment of injuries following an automobile accident that took place in Johnson County on Wednesday morning.

At around 10:50 a.m. on September 20, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that an accident occurred on US Highway 50.

Reports from MSHP Trooper SL Edwards indicate that a rear-end collision between a 2007 Toyota Camry and a 2014 Toyota Prius occurred on the westbound side of the highway near the Missouri Route 13 Bypass. The Toyota was totaled in the accident and had to be towed from the scene.

Two people in the vehicle, identified as 80-year-old Dorene Burnett and 87-year-old Marjorie Allee, were injured. Johnson County EMS transported the two victims to the hospital for care.

The accident is being investigated at this time.
