Oak Grove, MO (April 3, 2024) – Several victims were transported to area hospitals with injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday evening in Lafayette County. The accident was reported to the Missouri State Highway Patrol at around 4:30 p.m. on March 31.

Preliminary reports indicate that a Yamaha four-wheeler was involved in a collision in the 100 block of Lake Paradise Road. The vehicle suffered moderate damage and had to be towed from the scene. A total of four people were injured as a result of the accident. A three-year-old girl was transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital by EMS for the treatment of moderate injuries. 31-year-old Leanna Meyers was injured in the accident and transported to Centerpoint Hospital for medical care. A 45-year-old man, identified as Shaun Hicks of Oak Grove, Missouri, was transported to Research Hospital for medical treatment. One life flight unit responded to the scene to transport a male victim to Children’s Mercy Hospital for emergency treatment. The accident is under investigation.
