Kansas City, MO (February 24, 2024) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that 50-year-old Roger Eiserer of Kearney, Missouri, was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Wednesday in Clay County. Authorities were notified of the crash at around 6:00 p.m. on February 21.
According to official reports, a collision between a 2016 Freightliner Glider and a 2015 Ford Escape occurred on the southbound side of Interstate 35 near mile marker 10. The impact of the crash sent the Ford off the roadway, where it collided with a cable barrier. The vehicle then returned to the road and overturned before coming to rest on its roof.
The Ford was totaled in the crash. Emergency services responded to the scene of the accident to provide care to the victims. One person involved in the crash, identified as Eiserer, was injured. He was transported by Kansas City fire EMS to North Kansas City Hospital for emergency care. At this time, the accident is being investigated.
