Kansas City, MO (February 25, 2024) – The Kansas City Police Department is currently investigating an automobile accident that occurred on Friday afternoon and ended in injuries. The accident was reported just after 1:30 p.m. on February 23.

According to law enforcement reports, a police officer was driving eastbound on 57th Street when his vehicle collided with a southbound Chrysler at the intersection of Troost Avenue. The incident prompted the closure of the intersection as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. The officer and two additional victims were injured in the crash.
