Knob Noster, MO (February 29, 2024) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident in Johnson County on Monday afternoon, February 26. Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol were called to the scene of the accident at approximately 2:40 p.m.
According to area law enforcement, a 2015 Toyota Sienna was heading southbound on Highway 23 when it collided head-on with a 2010 Ford Escape just north of Northeast 500 Road. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the accident. The drivers of both vehicles were injured. Emergency medical services responded to the crash site to care for 40-year-old Benjamin Richards of Concordia, Missouri, and 47-year-old Zeshan Siddiqua of St. Joseph, Missouri. Both of the victims were subsequently transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for emergency care. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
