Mayview, MO (February 1, 2024) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that 20-year-old Damien Hilburn of Higginsville, Missouri, was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries following a car crash in Lafayette County. The incident was reported to officials at approximately 11:30 a.m. on January 30.
According to investigative reports provided by MS HPA trooper J W Eickhoff, the driver of a white Ford F1 50 pickup truck failed to yield the right-of-way to a Dodge Grand Caravan while traveling through the intersection of Houx Road and Wheatley Road. As a result, the vehicles collided. Both of the vehicles were totaled in the accident. The driver of the Dodge, identified as Hilburn, was injured. He was transported to Centerpoint Hospital for medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
