Blue Springs, MO – Injury Crash Reported on I-70 near Little Blue Parkway

Blue Springs, MO (January 22, 2024) – A 60-year-old woman was transported to an area hospital following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday morning in Jackson County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified of the crash at around 9:35 a.m. on January 20.

According to official reports, a 2015 Nissan was traveling on Interstate 70 when the driver of the vehicle lost control. As a result, the vehicle went off the roadway. The Nissan then returned to the road and crashed into a 2015 Mercedes just east of Little Blue Parkway. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the accident. The driver of the Mercedes, identified as 60-year-old Tonie Millsap of Blue Springs, Missouri, was injured. Millsap was transported to Centerpoint Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
