Urich, MO (August 3, 2023) – One woman was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of moderate injuries following a crash that occurred in Henry County on Wednesday, August 2.
At around 5:40 a.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that an automobile accident occurred on Missouri Highway 7.
According to official reports, a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze crashed into the rear of a 2015 Nissan Rogue while traveling on the highway just one-half mile east of Route DD. The incident caused the Nissan to go off the roadway and strike a tree. The Chevrolet went off the right side of the highway and crashed into an embankment.
Both vehicles were totaled due to the crash and were removed by J’s Southland towing company.
The driver of the Nissan, identified as 74-year-old Elizabeth Lakomy, was severely injured. Shew as transported to Golden Valley Hospital by Golden Valley EMS.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
