Fatal Car Accidents in Missouri

Fatal accidents take the lives of hundreds of people in Missouri each year. These accidents are often devastating. Families are often left to deal with overwhelming financial burdens. After losing a loved one in a fatal collision, families have the ability to file a wrongful death claim against the person who is responsible. This type of legal action can provide relief for various damages that they face. A wrongful death claim allows families to recover compensation for medical expenses, funeral costs, lost earnings, and more.

In order to be successful in the filing of your claim, you must be able to demonstrate negligence existed at the time of the accident. This is done by showing that the driver was speeding, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or engaging in some other form of negligence while behind the wheel.

After losing a loved one, your family should reach out to a wrongful death lawyer in Michigan right away. Your attorney will be able to start investigating the accident and gathering evidence on your behalf against the defendant. Your attorney will also negotiate compensation to ensure your family is able to maximize the amount that you are able to recover.
