Lincoln Co., MO (December 20, 2023) – Emergency officials out of Lincoln County were called to the scene of an automobile accident that sent one 26-year-old man to a local hospital with injuries. The crash occurred at around 1:20 a.m. on December 18.
According to official reports, a collision between a 2012 Peterbilt 389 and a 2018 GMC Sierra occurred on the southbound side of US Highway 61. The force of the collision caused the Peterbilt to travel off the left side of the roadway and overturned. The incident caused severe disruptions near North Lincoln Drive. The incident prompted the Missouri State Highway Patrol to shut down the roadway as they provided assistance. One person involved in the accident, identified as Joshua Lilly of Eolia, Missouri, was injured. Lilly was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis by Lincoln County ambulance. At this time, investigations into the crash are ongoing.
