Montrose, MO – Two Hurt in Car Crash on Highway 52 near Route BB

Montrose, MO (December 6, 2023) – Emergency crews were summoned to the scene of an automobile accident in Bates County that left two people injured. Calls for help came in at around 12:20 p.m. on December 4. According to official reports, the driver of a 2009 Dodge 2500 pickup truck attempted to make a left turn on Highway 52, just west of Route BB. The vehicle overtook a 2013 Chrysler 300, causing the two vehicles to collide. Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the accident. They had to be towed from the scene.

The driver of the Dodge, identified as 46-year-old Christopher Buckingham of Versailles, Missouri, and a passenger in the Chrysler, 86-year-old Marjorie Miller of Appleton City, Missouri, were both injured. Buckingham was transported to Lake Regional Hospital for emergency care. Miller was transported by EMS to Bates County Memorial. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
