Kearney Township, MO (June 23, 2023) – Emergency crews were called to provide assistance on-site at an automobile accident in Clay County that left two people hurt.
The accident was reported to the Missouri State Highway Patrol at approximately 8:55 a.m. on June 22.
According to reports provided by authorities, a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado attempted to make a right turn onto Plattsburgh Road from Missouri State Route 92 when it was struck head-on by a 2014 Ford Focus. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident.
Two people suffered serious injuries in the crash. The victims were identified as 21-year-old Aiden Jackson and 26-year-old Tyler Murphy. Both victims were transported by Kearney Fire and Rescue to Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Missouri, for emergency care.
The incident is being investigated.
