Kansas City, MO (November 19, 2023) – A 46-year-old woman was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a crash that involved multiple vehicles that occurred in Platte County. At around 5:40 p.m. on November 16, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol were called to the scene of a crash on Interstate 29.
According to reports, a 2009 Kia overtook and struck a 2016 Hyundai on Interstate 29 at the intersection of 64th Street. The force of the collision caused the Hyundai to strike a 2007 Pontiac. The Hyundai was severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the vehicle, 46-year-old Shannon Russell, was transported to Liberty Hospital for emergency treatment. The crash is being investigated.
