Kansas City, MO (November 28, 2023) – A pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with injuries following a car crash that occurred in the Kansas City area on Sunday afternoon. Authorities confirmed that the pedestrian later passed away from their injuries. On November 26, emergency officials were called to help at a crash on Independence Avenue.
Reports from local law enforcement show that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Kensington Avenue. Further investigations show that a silver Chevrolet Malibu was traveling down the roadway when it collided with a GMC Terrain. The force of the collision caused the SUV to go off the roadway and strike a wooden utility pole, which struck a male pedestrian.
The pedestrian was severely hurt in the crash. The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where they later died from their injuries. At this time, investigations into the crash are underway.
