Kansas City, MO – Two Hurt in Car Crash on I-435 near 96th St

Kansas City, MO (October 12, 2023) – Two people were injured following a crash that occurred in the Kansas City area. The crash was reported at around 1:05 p.m. on October 11.

According to official reports, a 2022 Hyundai Kona was traveling on the northbound side of Interstate 435. As the vehicle began to slow just south of 96th Street, it was struck by a 2021 Nissan Altima. The Missouri State Highway Patrol closed off the roadway while assisting.

Two people were injured in the crash victims, 32-year-old Kasilyn Lloyd of Bennettsville, South Carolina, and 33-year-old Elsa Flores of San Diego, California, were both transported to Liberty Hospital by the Kansas City Fire Department EMS.

At this time, the crash is being investigated.
