Lone Jack, MO – Man Injured in Car Crash on US-50 near S Sam Moore Rd

Lone Jack, MO (October 8, 2023) – A man was transported to an area hospital with injuries following an accident that occurred in Jackson County on Saturday morning, October 7.

Just before 11:15 a.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that they were needed at the scene of a crash that occurred on US Highway 50.

Reports show that a 2011 Lexis 460 changed lanes while traveling eastbound on the highway. As the vehicle proceeded through the area just west of South Sam Moore Road, it collided with a 2002 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck.

The impact of the crash sent the pickup truck off the side of the roadway, where it overturned. The pickup truck was severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, 27-year-old Tristan Seems of Oak Grove, Missouri, was injured in the crash. He was transported to Lees Summit Medical Center for emergency care.

At this time, the crash is being investigated.
