Drexel, MO (September 8, 2023) – A 29-year-old man from Grandview, Missouri, was left injured as a result of a crash that occurred in Bates County.
The accident was reported to the Missouri State Highway Patrol at around 4:25 p.m. on September 6.
According to official reports, a collision between the 1991 GMC Conventional and a 2003 Honda VT 750 motorcycle took place on Northwest County Road 14001 just north of Northwest County Road 16002. The impact of the crash caused the motorcycle to overturn and eject the rider.
The motorcyclist, identified as Gage McCoy, suffered serious injuries. He was transported by LifeFlight to research Medical Center, where he underwent emergency medical care.
No other injuries were reported in the accident. The driver of the GMC, 63-year-old Timothy Hill of Drexel, Missouri, remained at the scene.
At this time, the crash is being investigated.
