Kansas City, MO (September 13, 2023) – On Sunday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of an accident that left one man injured.
The accident occurred at around 5:20 p.m. on September 10.
According to reports from authorities, the driver of a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia slowed for traffic on the southbound side of Interstate 35 when it became involved in a collision with a 2006 Ford Fusion near mile marker 11. Both vehicles were damaged significantly in the crash and had to be towed from the scene.
A 24-year-old male from Kansas City, Missouri, identified as Elijah Shafer, was injured in the collision. He was transported to North Kansas City Hospital by the Kansas City Fire Department for emergency care.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
