Marshall, MO – Truck Crash on US-65 near 122nd Trail Injures Neico Silkwood

Marshall, MO (September 20, 2023) – On September 19, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an automobile accident that sent one person to a local hospital with injuries.

The crash occurred in Saline County at around 12:05 p.m. on September 19.

According to reports, a 2015 Chevrolet Cruz and a 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer collided on the southbound side of US Highway 65. The incident resulted in the Chevrolet coming to rest in the median near 122nd Trail. The tractor-trailer came to rest on the right shoulder of the roadway.

Both vehicles were significantly damaged in the crash and had to be removed from the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 31-year-old Neico Silkwood of Sweet Springs, Missouri, was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by Saline County EMS for emergency care.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
