Freeman, MO (February 10, 2024) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that two people were injured as a result of an automobile accident that occurred on Friday afternoon in Cass County. The crash was reported to authorities at approximately 12:15 p.m. on February 9.
According to official reports, a 2000 Mercury villager was involved in an accident on Missouri Route 2 near South Rail Road. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to go off the side of the roadway and overturned. Two people involved in the accident were injured. EMS transported 50-year-old Daniel Verhulst and 83-year-old Alan Verhulst to Research Medical Center, where they were both admitted for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
