Wellington, MO – MSHP Responds to Injury Crash on US-24 near Howe Rd

Wellington, MO (February 11, 2024) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday morning in Lafayette County. Authorities were notified of the crash at approximately 10:30 a.m.

According to official reports, on February 10, the driver of a 2023 Mazda CX50 was yielding for a vehicle to turn at the intersection of US Highway 24 and Howe Road. The driver of a 1999 Toyota Camry failed to stop their vehicle. As a result, the Toyota crashed into the rear end of the Mazda. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the crash and had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the Mazda, 50-year-old Jared Frye of Richmond, Missouri, was injured in the crash. Frye was transported to Centerpoint Hospital by Napoleon ambulance for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
