Kansas City, MO (February 9, 2024) – An 8-year-old girl who sustained severe injuries in a motor vehicle accident earlier this week has died from her injuries on February 8. The incident was reported to law enforcement on Monday, February 5.
Police reports indicate that a motor vehicle accident occurred on East 23rd Street Trafficway in the area near Stark Avenue. The incident prompted the response of multiple law enforcement officers. Authorities confirmed that a large pothole on the road caused a vehicle to overcorrect and crash into a second vehicle on the roadway.
Three people were injured as a result of the accident. The victims, including an 8-year-old girl, were all transported to area hospitals for emergency treatment. The young girl ended up passing away as a result of the injuries that she suffered. Investigations into the incident are underway.
