Kansas City, KS (February 18, 2024) – One person sustained fatal injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Kansas City area on Wednesday, February 14. The incident was reported to law enforcement just before 3:00 p.m.
According to reports, a Lincoln MKZ was traveling south on Prospect Avenue. As the vehicle passed through the area near 63rd Street, it collided with the front end of a gray Lincoln MKX SUV exiting a parking lot. The crash caused the sedan to go off the roadway and collide with a tree. The driver of the MKZ sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two passengers in the vehicle were injured and transported to area hospitals for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
