Jamesport, MO (January 4, 2024) – A female passenger was seriously injured as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Jamesport on Wednesday afternoon, January 3. At around 3:20 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that they were needed on-site at a major crash on Missouri Highway 190.
Crash investigations determined that 22-year-old Ethan Brown was driving a pickup truck when it collided with a horse-drawn buggy just seven miles south of Jamesport during the afternoon hours. The impact of the crash caused the buggy to go off the side of the roadway and overturned. A passenger in the buggy, identified as 84-year-old Naomi Detweiler, was seriously injured. She was rushed to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri, where she was admitted for emergency treatment. The driver of the buggy, 84-year-old Eli Detweiler, was uninjured. At this time, the crash is being investigated.
